They’ll be x3 models in total, all using the same uni-directional full carbon frame equipped with oversize downtube, BB30 bottom bracket, 1 1/2” - 1 1/8” tapered headtube and matching tapered full carbon fork for instant responses and optimum power transfer.

The fast-handling geometry with proportionally taller headtubes and a longer wheelbase make for a comfortable, stable and confidence-inspiring ride over longer distances. With x4 sizes on offer ranging from a 51cm to 60cm there should be an Evaporite for everyone.

Tapered headtube and fork upfront helps stiffen things up and helps ensure pin sharp handling. A larger headtube also gives us room to fit the massively oversized downtube that joins the bottom bracket to become the backbone of the bike.

The Evaporite One (£1199.99rrp) is our entry-level offering and comes specced with Shimano’s new Tiagra 10sp shifters and derailleurs, FSA Omega BB30 34/50T compact chainset, Alex ALX-200 Wheelset and Tektro R525 Brake Calipers with cartridge pads. That’s a lot of bike for the money! 19.02lbs (54cm).

If you’re going to spec a BB30 Bottom Bracket, you’re only going to reap the rewards of the oversize system if you spec a BB30-specific chainset with oversize 30mm axle. You’ll find no adaptors on any of the x3 Evaportite models, with them all using compact gearing (50/34T) FSA BB30-specific units for ultimate gear range.

All x3 models use an oversize 31.8mm handlebar/stem interface for optimum stiffness – FSA combo on the Evaporite Two & Three and Pinnacle branded version on the Evaporite One.

Compact bend handlebars are also specced throughout. Now a standard fitment on many sportive bikes, a compact bar is a great choice if you are currently struggling with handlebars of an impossibly far reach and deep drop designed for those with the flexibility and pipe-cleaner arms of a road pro! Being able to use the drop position for longer and in comfort is a massive plus point in our books.

The Evaporite Two sits slap bang in the middle of series at £1499.99rrp and comes specced with Shimano 105 10sp shifters and derailleurs, FSA Gossamer BB30 34/50T comapct chainset, Shimano RS20 Wheelset, Shimano BR-R651 Brake Calipers and FSA SL-280 Seatpost/ Wing Compact HB / OS-190 LX Stem. A great balance of price and performance, the Evaporite Two looks set to become a best seller! 18.01lbs (54cm).

Following in the theme of this years’ earlier restyled Pinnacle range, the Evaporite models are equally subtle and understated in the looks department. The Evaporite One & Two use a gloss lacquered raw UD carbon finish with a contrasting matte white logo panel on the downtube. The Evaporite Three gets the stealthy treatment with a slightly graded/masked graphic panel for the ultimate in clean looks.

Cole’s C24 Lite wheelset makes a welcome appearance on the range topping Evaporite Three. Great looking stiff and coming in at only 1650g per pair they help the Evaporite Three reach an impressive 16.14lbs weight (54cm).

For clean cable lines we routed the gear outer through the headtube. Not only does this help keep the front end of the bike neat, it reduces cable rub around the headtube.
